My partnership with Ritual Network on YouTube began in 2015 and is still active today. Because I receive so many emails inquiring about being a YouTube partner, I thought it would be best to offer an honest evaluation of my time spent working with Ritual ASMR!
About YouTube Networks
First and foremost, I want to start by acknowledging that I am not an expert in this field. In this article on my blog, I will just be sharing some of my thoughts and experiences. When I originally joined a YouTube network, I understood very little to almost nothing about how they worked. Even if I have a lot to learn, I can say with certainty that my time spent on YouTube has been vastly enhanced as a result of them.
In 2012, while I still had my make-up and beauty channel, I signed my first contract with a major company. Because of the success of one of my films, which had more than 300,000 views, networks began to take notice of me. I joined one as a little creator, but I realized that there were very few rewards to doing so. When I didn’t take advantage of what they had to offer, I had the distinct impression that a portion of my money was being siphoned off without my consent.
When I first began my ASMR channel, I was certain that I would not join a network because of my previous negative experiences with such organizations. Nevertheless, one email that was specific to me and had a more friendly tone drew my attention. In 2015, I signed a contract with a rather modest network.
Ritual Network
To make a long tale short, my channel developed more rapidly, and I was eventually moved to Ritual Network, which at the time was known as Ritual Entertainment Network. Ritual Network is an umbrella network that encompasses the smaller network with which I had first signed.
I’ll be the first to confess that things got off to a shaky start with them. It’s been nearly two years since this happened. Everyone was still learning about ASMR at the time (and still is). Both Ritual and the individuals I interacted with in real life gave me the impression that they did not fully get me. I had the impression that a portion of my profits was being sent to the network, despite the fact that I was not making use of the services that they provided.
After some back and forth with the CEO on the subject, he finally showed me Savannah, and after that, I made up my mind to remain. My hopes and prayers for YouTube had finally been granted!
Partnering with A Network
My primary source of income is not through YouTube. I work in digital marketing from 9 to 5, Monday through Friday. I adore it, but I also adore YouTube, and due to the fact that I don’t have a lot of spare time, it’s difficult for me to devote as much time and attention as my channel requires at all times of the day and night. In this regard, Savannah and the Ritual Network were of assistance.
Savannah contacts businesses on my behalf to get video sponsorships (a lifesaver in light of the recent apocalypse on YouTube), she maintains my tags and end titles, and she pays attention to all of the minute details that contribute to the success of a YouTube channel.
Smaller artists are probably not the best candidates for a partnership with a YouTube network, in my opinion. Even though I don’t make a living off of YouTube, I do utilize the money I get from ads to pay my expenses (ugh, student loans) and rent (ugh, rent increasing).
Ritual ASMR
Being an ASMR YouTube Creator might make you feel alone at times. There isn’t a lot of time for me to chat to other creators about the possibility of working together (although I have done them in the past).
YouTube has been the source of some very terrifying encounters for me. I’ve had to contend with trolls, perverts, and haters who are unrelenting. I suppose it’s just something that goes along with the area, however. I am relieved to know that I have the support of a Network in the event that any legal difficulties arise. Even if I haven’t made full use of that service, having it provides me with a sense of calm.
When things have “become rough,” I’ve opened up to Savannah about how I’ve been struggling to find a way to continue using YouTube without having to put up with the hostility that it sometimes brings. She has listened to everything, from the fact that I wanted to stop using YouTube to the fact that Dobby needed surgery. We had plans and tactics, and my well-being and protection were at the forefront of all of them.
Savannah said to me some time ago that I was the one who first introduced her to the world of ASMR. full of love, support, and devotion to the cause. I mean, who doesn’t appreciate lending their support to a community that’s all about having a good time and having a restful night’s sleep?! As a result, Ritual Network developed a subcategory known as “Ritual ASMR”, particularly for ASMR content providers. The first one ever. In addition to that, we have quite the cast of characters presently, ranging from The ASMR Gamer to Olivia Kissper ASMR!
Moving Forward
I can say with complete sincerity that I’m grateful to be a part of a network, and I’m particularly appreciative to Savannah and the rest of the Ritual ASMR team for their commitment to the ASMR community.
